Teresa Clark, MSN, CRNP is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I received my Masters degree from Misericordia University and have 32 years of experience diagnosing and treating patients with acute and chronic pain conditions such as cervical, lumbar, neuropathic, and joint pain.
• ADN in Nursing LCCC
• BS in Nursing Misericordia University
• MSN Misericordia University
With a focus on conservative, evidence-based care, she offers treatments including physical therapy referrals, fluoroscopically guided injections, and minimally invasive procedures along with steroid joint injections and trigger point release. I aim to listen closely to each person’s pain complaints and work with them to develop a personalized treatment plan to improve function and quality of life. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside, reading, and painting.
Prior to earning my nurse practitioner license, I worked with rehabilitation patients, primarily those with traumatic brain injury and ventilator-dependent patients, to assist them in coming off the ventilator. I found this type of nursing very rewarding as we helped patients and their families through the rehabilitation process and assisted them in achieving their goal of returning home. After completing my master’s, I continued to work with rehab patients with my collaborating physician; we managed patients in two different rehabilitation facilities with all different types of physical issues. We eventually joined a pain management practice and we remained there for five years.
After I joined a psychiatric practice, it was somewhat of a change, but as mood issues impact all aspects of a person’s life, this allowed me to use my rehab background in assisting patients through difficult situations. Then I transitioned to working with the elderly with dementia and mood issues in nursing homes throughout the area, I found this aspect of my career the most challenging but the most rewarding.
After meeting a colleague that I worked with at the previous pain management practice, I was offered a position at Comprehensive Pain Specialists Management Specialists and am happy to be back working in this field again. I can use my rehab skills and I am learning the new modalities and treatments available for pain. I am happy to be part of a great staff who all work together to assist our patients to improve their quality of life.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, Bailey, spending time reading, and recently enrolled in a watercolor class.
